With Woman

In high school, I took a history class about gender politics in 17th century England because I was very cool and popular. During my virtual senior year, I wrote a series of sketches inspired by what I learned about English midwifery and organized a zoom reading.

In 2022, With Woman (or Cheese Baby) was selected for a staged reading by Northwestern's classically-inspired student theatre board, Lovers & Madmen. It was directed by Leo Kurland and featured Nicole Streger, Haley Bart, Piper Baley, Anne-Sophie Lacombe García, Nora James Eikner, Baz Holifield, and Henry Davis Piger. The revised one-act, performed in April 2023, was described in a North by Northwestern review as "an exploration of pain with a humorous touch."

​I am currently working on expanding this one-act into a full length play.
