​Shai recently graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in Performance Studies. She did many extracurriculars and was not chill about it at ALL (please ask her about the epic highs and lows of collegiate improv.)​

​

In 2023, Shai was a semifinalist at the NYC Queer Comedy Festival. In 2024, she opened for the Meerkat Comedy Hour with Lukas Arnold and Gabby Jordan Brown at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In 2025, she received honors for her senior thesis, Trimmings, a 45-minute stand-up special which she wrote and performed. Her faculty sponsors included the Performance Studies Department Chair, Joshua Chambers-Letson, and the Tony Award-winning director of Metamorphoses and Macarthur Fellow Mary Zimmerman.

Recently, Shai co-founded the comedy duo Challah & Oats with her longtime friend and collaborator, Brenden Dahl. They have produced long-form improv shows in Evanston, Philadelphia, and NYC.

Shai is currently acting in her first feature film as a Supporting Lead. More info soon!
